None of these relationship types are the way I’d describe it. I like friends to lovers, realizing they are in love with their friend. Resisting your attraction to the other guy because it complicates things or is illegal or dangerous is not the same as homophobia.
By that definition, no, it’s not homophobia. But there is an internal homophobia taught to boys who grow up thinking their attraction is wrong.
